Yes, if you follow basic hygiene. A Google Sheets or Excel file is as safe as your account. Use a strong password, enable two-factor authentication, and never share edit links publicly. View-only links are fine for showing templates to friends. Edit links should be reserved for people you trust.

Never store credit card numbers or payment passwords inside your spreadsheet. The only financial data that belongs there are prices, budgets, and maybe a PayPal transaction ID.
